This notice explains what we do with the details you give us through this website. It is written to be read, not to be got past.

Who we are
Hauliant.com is a trading name of GAO Group Ltd, company number 1691887, registered at 3rd Floor, 86–90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE. GAO Group Ltd is the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect, and why

We do not ask for anything else, and the form will not take anything else. We do not collect special category data, and this is not a service for consumers: we expect the details you give us to be your work details.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no session tracking and no third-party font or script loaded from anyone else's servers, so nothing about your visit is shared with another company. Nothing here needs a cookie banner, which is why you have not been shown one.
Who else sees it
Only the people at GAO Group Ltd who deal with enquiries, and the suppliers who run the systems we use on our instructions:
- Hosting and storage — Google Cloud (UK and EU regions).
- Email delivery — Resend, which sends our replies and any marketing email you ask for.
They act as our processors, under contract, and may not use your details for their own purposes. We never sell your details, and we never pass them to anyone else for their marketing. Where a supplier processes data outside the UK, that transfer is covered by the UK's approved safeguards (adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum).
How long we keep it
- Enquiries — 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted.
- Marketing consent and its audit record — for as long as you are subscribed, and 24 months afterwards, so we can show consent was given and when it was withdrawn.
- Unsubscribe list — kept indefinitely, because the only way to be sure we do not email you again is to remember not to.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you may ask us to:
- give you a copy of what we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete it;
- stop or restrict what we do with it;
- send it to you, or to someone else, in a portable form;
- stop using it for our legitimate interests, or for marketing — and marketing stops on request, always.
Email hello@hauliant.com and we will answer within one month. There is no charge. If you are not happy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113 — though we would rather you gave us the chance to put it right first.
Stopping our emails
Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link, and one click is enough. You can also unsubscribe here or email us. We act on it immediately and keep your address on a suppression list so it cannot be added again by accident.
Security
Details submitted here travel over an encrypted connection and are held in access-controlled systems. Every access to an enquiry record is logged, and the log is kept for 24 months.
Changes to this notice
If we change it we will change the version and date at the top, and keep the earlier versions so it is always clear which one applied when you gave us your details.
